HOUSE INDUSTRIES VELO COLLECTION – BICYCLES, CLOTHING, FONTS AND MORE
HOUSE INDUSTRIES 推出一系列單車產品,從車架到零件到LIFE STYLE 的用品都有喔~
In 2013, famed bicycle frame builder, Richard Sachs, asked the creative minds at House Industries to help “re-skin” Sach’s brand identity and colorways — the first such change to Sachs’ bicycles in some 30 years. The new branding utilized House’s Neutraface font and an orange color scheme to wrap the new Sachs look, one that will remain in use for likely another three decades.
House Industries’ Sachs rebranding solidified their interest in cycling and understanding of how they could put their mark on the sport. The result of that thinking has arrived withHouse Industries Velo, an expansive bicycle, accessories, clothing and font collection, all touched by the minds and hands of House and developed in collaboration with global partners including Brooks England, Tanner Goods, Tellason and others.
At the heart of the collection is the House Velo Bicycle, featuring a hand-built Waterford USA steel frame, custom Specialties TA crankset, and “bespoke” center-pull brake calipers — all custom screen printed at House Industries’ Grand Rapids, MI shop. Custom Cinelli bar tape, Brooks saddle, and a Tanner Goods saddle bag complete the bike.
Branding on the new House Bicycle features the all-new Velo Serif typeface, a throwback font family developed “with a grand tour champion’s panache.” Velo Serif includes 16 font faces in the family, showing once again that House always needs to go beyond the extra mile when creating great type.
There is much more to the House Velo collection than we’re able to fit into this space, so be sure to visit the Velo landing page for more info. To celebrate the release of Velo, House Industries will create a unique exhibit within the Rapha Cycle Club in New York City running from October 16 to 26.
