Brooklyn Cruiser Driggs 3 Bicycle
A cruiser can be a bruiser, you know? Where fixed gear bikes are weightless wonders, cruisers are beefy brawlers. In that latter category, the new Driggs 3 from Brooklyn Cruiser seem like solid contenders. We are knee-jerk wary of any product directed at youngsters that has the word “Brooklyn” in its name, but we like the look of this one.
The white-walled tires and the wooden crate behind the seat give the bike a distinct ’40s vibe, which is a solid move for a vintage pretender. The internal derailer in the rear hub gives the option of three speeds, but it also affords the pièce de résistance: a coaster brake. We feel confident that doing skid stops will continue to delight well into our sixties.
