Italian manufacturer Rizoma, internationally recognized in the field of motorcycles and bicycles, asked the Belgian designer Dirk Bikkembergs to draw a model of bike for the city. With a one-piece carbon frame, the results presented here under the name “Metropolitan New Bike” is a great success. More in the future.

designaffairs STUDIO‘s fully transparent Clarity Bike takes advantage of an advanced polymer which combines high impact resistance, lightweight properties and a gentle flexibility that usually would only be expected on an old Italian steel frame. By using Trivex – an alternative to polycarbonate – the frame also offers outstanding chemical resistance and thermal stability as it is virtually unaffected by most organic and inorganic chemicals and withstands very hot and cold temperatures. designaffairs STUDIO is calling this prototype “a low cost bicycle characterized by convenience and an unmatched unique style.”
